You are at the gym, What's Next?

These are just some tips and guidelines to make the session run smoother.

Photos and More Photos!

Taking some pictures is a good way to advertise how your event went on meetup. Tagging people will help everyone know who's who. I mean, why look at profile pictures when we get to check out action shots!

Warmup vs Game Time

20 Minutes seems like enough for warmups, If you have already assigned teams, you can get things going in 20 mins. It's important to ask the teams sitting out to keep score so teams playing won't need to worry about that. The important thing is people are waiting for you to run the show. So keep things moving!

Checking Everyone In

If you are new and may not know everyone, bring a print out of the Meetup RSVP list to check people in (Yes, there is a feature in meetup to do this). This way, you can easily track fees paid as well as track no shows who cancel last minute. It'll help with picking teams as well!

It is entirely up to you but we suggest that you go with your original number of players (since that was what was advertised and people are sharing the fees). If you have no-shows, go ahead and fill them in but if everyone shows, we suggest you keep your game closed to surprise visitors.

Some Players showed up unexpectedly and were not on the RSVP list. What do I do?

Tell him nicely that his attitude is making others uncomfortable and report the incident to admins@hkvb.org with the person name and the context of the situation. Also, feel free to exclude him/her from your future games.

A player is talking down to other players and/or making other players uncomfortable. What should I do.

FAQ

TIP 1: Need help setting up even teams? Ask other more seasoned players for help, They should know how to even out the teams!

TIP 2: Keep track of the scores! If the scores are off by a huge margin for several games, it may be time to move some players around. Don't wait till players get discouraged, do it proactively!
