You did it! Now what?

Congratulations! Now that you're done with your first event, you are on your way to becoming a seasoned EO! A couple of things that you will need to do after your events for HKVB are:

Complete the Attendance Sheet on Meetup.

This not only helps us keep track of attendance but it reminds the players to respect game commitments in the future as well. This is mandatory for all event organizers (except in bad weather outdoors). Please respect our policies on this.

Send greetings or leave comments to your new found vball mates!

Meetup has an excellent message board function as well as [GOOD TO SEE YOU] buttons. Dont' be shy and use it! Also ask for players to rate your event so you can get an honest feedback.

Report ratings suggestions to admins@hkvb.org

Since our admins may not be able to attend every single event, this can help new players speed up their rating process. HKVB admins will review these suggestions during our regular rating meetings.

Report any disturbances or problems

Whether it be a rude player or someone not playing by the rules, we will do our best to communicate with the players involved and revert. Remember, as an EO you have the right to govern your own games and you can always not allow troublemakers in the future.

We do not mark no-shows for outdoor games if the weather conditions are less than perfect.

A player no showed an outdoor event due to unpredictable weather conditions. What should I do?

FAQ

Oh, and don't forget to upload and tag your photos! You did take some, didn't you?

A player was very nice and called to explain why he couldn't make it. But he still did not find a replacement or give me enough time to find a replacement.

To be fair, we still prefer if you listed them as no show. 1 No show won't hurt their chances of attending games. This way, other EOs can observe if this is a pattern or one off incident.
